Who do I contact about car crash injury claim when the other driver didn't stop?
I had a crash in my boyfriend's car and the other driver who was at fault didn't stop. We crashed into a parked car; the owner of which is now making a claim on my boyfriend's insurance. He said if I make a claim for injury on his insurance it will push his premium up, but there is a claim being made against him anyway, so will it make much difference? He had several years no claims and says his bonus is protected. I've read that the Motor Insurers' Bureau can compensate if the other driver is untraceable. I don't drive or know anything about making a claim. In this instance do I need to contact my boyfriend's insurer, the Motor Insurers' Bureau or a no win no fee company? Thanks Sorry, I didn't give enough details. I live in the UK and was a passenger. This is surely obvious as I said I don't drive :) The untraceable car was at fault as it swerved into our lane meaning we had to swerve to avoid it. We did not collide though. I have looked at the MIB site and in order to claim it would've had to have been reported to the police within 14 days, which it wasn't. My new question is: if I make a claim for injury against my boyfriend's insurance will it push his premium up? He thinks it will, but someone told me as the owner of the parked car is making a claim against him anyway it won't make a difference.

Car crash injury claim - help!!?
Hi, PLease can anyone help/advise me? I was in a 3 car accident on the motorway. To cut a long story short, the car in front of us stopped dead in the right hand lane - going from 70 mph to 0mph instantly, so to avoid smashing into the back of it we had to swerve sharply left and crashed sideways into a car in the left hand lane. I was in the back right hand side of the car and as we swerved left I smacked my head on the side of the car and my head/top of body was thrown sideways. I have whiplash in my neck and my right shoulder and down my right arm are really aching and sore. I also have existing lower back pain which has been made alot worse. So my question is, if I put in a personal injury claim - would they payout for my lower back pain as i already have existing problems with it? Thanks
