i was in an accident at work involving workers comp, they are requesting to settle, and have made an offer.?
The Workers Comp has been paying,while off work and under several Dr's care. I will not be able to return to work, I am not looking to clean up on this but I do expect reasonable and fair compensation for injuries, pain and suffering. How do I put a price on severe cyatic nerve damage, i have no feelings from the knees down, back injuries 5 vertibrate are knocked out of align herniated disc, both knees and hip. Severe arthritis has set in each of these area of my body now from the injuries. I am being told that not a candidate for surgery as the pains will all still be there and worse if I elect to have surgery. Drs have told me that even with surgery i would still be disabled for the rest of my life.( still 15 years from retirement age) Is there a formula for compensation ? i have already been in contact with social security for disability, thier answer was wait till i am done with the settlement so they can proceed.. otherwise if i start disability now without having the settlement whatever settement amount is they will deduct that from my disability .. sounds like i will get it from both ends.. not good..

Plus pain and related frustration/anxiety, stress ("can I provide.."), unable to play sports, unable to lift /play with my son, help my wife round house, DIY etc - totally frustrating - still in daily pain..

all these offers of full compensation for injuries, they may sound good but thats what is agreed between the lawyers from both sides after sitting down for a meal or drinks the deciding what you get, of corse you get all that they decide then agree a fat fee for each other which is as much and mainly more than you get. unfair and unethical I think.
