UK TENANT!! What are my RIGHTS as a TENANT in England. Please HELP!! :(?
Hi everyone, I need to know few things. I need to know what are my rights as a tenant here in England as I feel trapped in this room. I am renting this room for �250 a month. This room is near the entrance door and has single glazing, when the students party all night, I can literally hear them and cannot get to sleep when I have university in the morning. It is really depressing and I still got 6 months left till the contract finishes :( The problem is that I cant open window of this room as it is stuck and cannot get in any fresh air. The curtain also falls of if I move it as the plastic thing of it are broken, I told my agency and the agent actually told me to buy those plastic things that holds the curtains instead of getting that job done by herself as I pay monthly rent. There are few holes in this room and also a there was a fire heater before which has been removed and not covered therefore the cold comes in from outside through these places. I and my father also asked them to give us the signed deposit receipt so many times for the past 3 months where as they failed to do this every single time and makes up wait and call them again and again. And now before Christmas I had an accident in this room. I did not realise that the shelf of this computer desk is not fixed in properly and fell on my forehead and my nose. This happened when I sneezed and my elbow hit on the keyboard part area of the computer desk and fell on my forehead and my nose after which resulted as bruise and cut on my forehead and my nose. Since then my nose is still popped up and worried if its broken. I took the photos of my these buises and also how the shelf fell on my face. I've been told I can also make a tenant injury claim because of the shelf fallen on my face. I am also contacting citizen advice soon to ask them what my rights are as a tenant and trying to get as much information as I can so please if anyone knows or went through any of those can share what your rights as a tenant are? How much would it cost to get a car door fitted ?
Hi I was recently in an accident my offside door took the brunt of the crash. It was not my fault and claming the other party so hopefully they accept liability. Is it possible to claim for everything else off the company except the my car ie claim legal costs and my hire car at the moment and injury claim but not claim off them for my car As it will be written off but it's perfectly drivable just cosmetic damage. ? Also how much would it cost to get a car door fitted ?

Where do I go to file an injury claim that happened in a store, being 18 and unemployed?
I have tried contacting the public defenders office and they told me that they "don't sue stores". I have also contacted my local police department to ask them what I should do and if there is anything that needed done though them and got nowhere. All they told me was I needed to find an lawyer and sue for injury. When asked what court I needed to file through I was told "I don't know". The fact is I have no idea what I'm doing. I don't know the law very well and I don't know where to go or who to talk to. I don't have any money to pay court fees and etc. I was told that I could get a public defender for free but now I don't know. I just need someone who is knowledgeable about this to help me.To give some detail about the situation: I was in the store and was looking at the Plasma Balls they had on display. Next to them was a black light that at the time I thought was another Plasma Ball on display. It was a big, round sphere and looked just like the others, not to mention that is was sitting next to actual Plasma Balls. There was no labeling that it wasn't one, and there were no "do not touch" or "display only" signs anywhere so I decided I would put my finger on it to play with it. Well it wasn't a plasma ball, and was VERY hot. It severely burned my finger to the point of the blister formed and split open in a matter of seconds. There was no warning signs that it was hot nor was there reason to believe it would be. I told the store's assistant manager about what happened and about how there should be a sign. Her response was, and I quote, "Well you shouldn't touch these anyway, because there can be an electrical build up and the glass will explode.". Well upon further research they do in fact not explode as she claimed, and even if they did there should be a sign warning of said explosion. So I went over to my friend and asked him if he heard of Plasma Balls being prone to explosion, and the assistant manager came over and interrupted us and told me I had to leave. When asked why she said I was talking bad about the store. I tried to reason with her and work the situation out but she kept interrupting me and threatened to call the law on me for trespassing. Then had a male associate come and bully me out of the store. I understand that they have a right to refuse service and all that, but it's obvious that the only reason I was kicked out was because I was complaining about their negligence. So if somebody could help me I would greatly appreciate it.
