Can anyone answer a legal question for me regarding "No win no fee" cases?
When you take up a "No win no fee" action dealt with by the Criminal Injuries Compensation Board, if you win the case are you liable for the legal fees incurred as a result of taking up the action? I was attacked in the street a few years ago and I had two front teeth knocked out and the person was never caught by the police. In the event of not having a guilty party to claim against, I took up this action with the Criminal Injuries Compensation Board. They have ruled in my favour, however the solicitors that fought the case for me are now taking 300 quid in legal fees off me for their services. Given that this action was supposed to be "No win no fee," should I have to pay the solicitor this money? After all, if I would have lost then I would have not had to pay anything, so why in the event of me winning should it be any different?

Is this libel and can I get a no win no fee case?
I did some work for a parish council and in a presentation to the council councillors made untrue statements about my work. They refuse to acknowledge this even though I have written proof.
